Daily Inspiration: Do Not Let Your Hands Grow Weak

2 Chronicles 15:7 KJV

Daily KJV Scripture

Scripture

Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

2 Chronicles 15:7 KJV

Devotion

Azariah spoke this encouragement to King Asa during a time when the nation needed spiritual renewal. The call to be strong was connected to a work that mattered. Faithfulness was not always easy, but God saw it and promised that labor done in obedience was not empty.

There are responsibilities that can make our hands feel weak: caring for people, repairing a relationship, doing honest work, raising children, serving quietly, or continuing to pray for someone we love. Discouragement tells us that small acts of faithfulness do not matter because they are not dramatic or immediately rewarded. God says otherwise.

The reward He promises may not always arrive in the form we expect or on the timeline we prefer. Yet He never overlooks obedience done for His sake. He uses patient work to build character, bless others, and prepare outcomes beyond our sight. Strength for today often comes through remembering that the Lord sees what we are doing and supplies grace to continue.

Daily Application

Think of one good responsibility that has started to feel tiring. Ask God for renewed strength and choose one practical way to continue faithfully rather than withdrawing in discouragement.

Prayer

Lord, strengthen my hands for the work You have given me. When I feel tired or unnoticed, remind me that You see every faithful act and that obedience to You is never wasted. In Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection Question

Where have my hands grown weak, and what faithful step can I take today?
