Devotion

Seeking the Lord is not a one-time decision reserved for a crisis. This verse calls us to seek His strength and His face continually. It is an invitation to make fellowship with God part of the pattern of ordinary life. We seek His strength because our own resources are limited. We seek His face because knowing Him is more important than simply getting an answer from Him.

There is a difference between seeking God only for relief and seeking God because we desire His presence. Both may begin in a moment of need, but a mature faith learns to return to Him in gratitude, worship, decisions, work, and rest. Continual seeking turns prayer from a last resort into a daily relationship.

This does not require a perfect schedule or a long list of spiritual achievements. It begins with a heart that repeatedly turns toward the Lord. A short prayer before a meeting, a psalm read during a break, or a moment of thanks at the end of the day can become part of a life that seeks His face.
