Devotion

Paul does not deny that the outward person grows tired, faces loss, and feels the effects of a broken world. He says that inward renewal is possible day by day. This is important because many of us wait for one dramatic moment to solve every weakness. God often supplies strength through a daily rhythm of grace.

Inward renewal comes as we return to Scripture, prayer, worship, fellowship, rest, and obedience. It is not always dramatic or visible. Some days the renewal may simply be enough strength to continue, enough wisdom to respond differently, or enough peace to rest without having every answer.

The world tells us that declining energy or changing circumstances mean we are losing ground. Paul points to a deeper reality. The work of God in a person is not measured only by outward ease or achievement. As we trust Him, He continues to form endurance, humility, hope, and love within us. His renewal is steady because His mercy is fresh.
