Daily Inspiration: The Love God Gives

1 John 4:7 KJV

Daily KJV Scripture

Today’s Scripture

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

1 John 4:7 KJV

Today’s Encouragement

Love in Scripture is active, patient, and costly. It is more than a warm feeling toward people who are easy to enjoy. God’s love teaches us to value others, speak with care, serve without needing applause, and choose what is good for another person.

A loving life is often proven in small moments: listening fully, answering gently, forgiving quickly, helping quietly, and seeing people as souls made in the image of God. Love becomes a daily witness when it shapes both our attitude and our actions.

1 John 4:7 reminds us that true love begins with God. Love is not simply an emotion, a kind word, or a thoughtful action. Real love flows from the heart of God and reflects His nature.

When the verse says, “Beloved, let us love one another,” it is a call for believers to show the love of God in the way we treat others. This love should be patient, forgiving, compassionate, humble, and willing to serve.

The phrase “for love is of God” teaches that God is the source of true love. The more we know Him, walk with Him, and surrender to Him, the more His love should be seen in our lives.

When it says, “every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God,” it reminds us that love is evidence of a changed heart. A person who has truly been touched by the love of God should desire to extend that love to others.

This scripture challenges us to examine how well our lives reflect the love we have received. God’s love is not meant to stop with us; it is meant to flow through us.

Daily Application

Today, ask God to help you love others with the love He has shown you. Look for an opportunity to be patient, kind, forgiving, or encouraging. Let someone see the goodness of God through the way you speak, respond, and serve.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for loving me with a love that is faithful, forgiving, and undeserved. Help me to love others the way You have loved me. Remove selfishness, bitterness, and pride from my heart, and let Your love be seen in my words, my attitude, and my actions. Teach me to reflect Your heart today. Lord, fill my heart with the kind of love that reflects You. Help me love in action, not only in words or intention. In Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection Question

Who needs to see the love of God through my words or actions today?
