Daily Inspiration: A Home Grounded In Love

Proverbs 22:6 KJV

Daily KJV Scripture

Today’s Scripture

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6 KJV

Today’s Encouragement

Family life is one of the main places where faith becomes practical. Patience, forgiveness, service, honesty, and love are tested and strengthened in the people closest to us. Home can become a place where God’s grace is practiced daily.

No family is strengthened by perfect people. Families grow through humble conversations, steady care, faithful correction, and the willingness to begin again. When we invite God into ordinary home life, even small choices can build peace, trust, and spiritual direction.

Proverbs 22:6 is a scripture about guiding children with truth, love, discipline, and wisdom while they are young.

When it says, “Train up a child,” it shows that raising a child is active and intentional. Children need more than rules; they need teaching, example, correction, encouragement, and steady guidance. Training involves helping them learn what is right, what is wise, and what honors God.

The phrase “in the way he should go” means parents and those who influence children should point them toward the right path. That includes teaching them God’s Word, helping them develop godly character, showing them how to love others, and preparing them to make wise choices. It also reminds us to consider the child’s heart, gifts, personality, and needs while guiding them.

Then the verse says, “and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” This gives hope that the truth planted early in a child’s life can remain with them. Even as they grow older and face decisions of their own, the foundation they were given can continue to speak to their heart.

This verse does not mean a child will never struggle, wander, or make wrong choices. But it does teach that godly training has lasting influence. The lessons, prayers, examples, and love poured into a child are not wasted.

Proverbs 22:6 reminds us that a home grounded in faith and love can shape a child for a lifetime. What is planted early can bear fruit later.
