Daily Inspiration: Grace For The Time of Need

Hebrews 4:16 KJV
Daily KJV Scripture

Today’s Scripture

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:16 KJV

Today’s Encouragement

Grace is God’s kindness toward people who cannot earn what He gives. It humbles us because it reminds us that our standing before Him is not built on performance. It also strengthens us because grace does not leave us where it found us.

When grace is deeply received, it changes how we treat ourselves and others. We can confess sin honestly, receive forgiveness gratefully, and extend patience more freely. Grace teaches us to live with both truth and tenderness.

Hebrews 4:16 is a beautiful invitation from God to come to Him with confidence, not fear.

The verse says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace.” That means believers do not have to approach God like strangers who are unwanted. Because of Jesus Christ, we can come before God with assurance, knowing He welcomes us. The word boldly does not mean proudly or carelessly. It means with confidence, trust, and faith in what Christ has done for us.

The phrase “the throne of grace” is powerful. A throne usually speaks of authority, majesty, and judgment. But here, God’s throne is called a throne of grace. That means the One who has all power and authority is also full of mercy, compassion, and kindness toward those who come to Him through Christ.

Then the scripture says, “that we may obtain mercy.” Mercy is what we need when we have failed, sinned, struggled, or fallen short. God does not tell us to run away in shame. He invites us to come near and receive mercy.

The verse also says we can “find grace to help in time of need.” Grace is God’s help, strength, favor, and provision when we cannot make it on our own. In our weakness, confusion, fear, temptation, grief, or pressure, God gives grace that is exactly suited for the moment.

This scripture reminds us that when we are in need, we should not hide from God. We should run to Him. His throne is not closed to His children. Through Jesus, we can come boldly, receive mercy for what is behind us, and find grace for what is before us.

Daily Application

Let grace shape one conversation today. Speak truthfully, but do it with patience, kindness, and awareness of God’s mercy toward you.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for grace I could never earn. Help me receive it humbly and reflect it in the way I treat others. In Jesus name. Amen.
