Daily Inspiration: Walk By Faith

2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV

Scripture For Today

2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)

For we walk by faith, not by sight:

Encouragement

Faith does not require seeing the whole road. It listens for the Lord, takes the next obedient step, and trusts that God already knows what is beyond the bend.

2 Corinthians 5:7 is a short verse, but it carries a powerful message about how believers are called to live.

When Paul says, “For we walk by faith,” he is describing the daily life of a Christian. The word walk points to the way we live, the choices we make, the direction we follow, and the trust we place in God day by day. Faith is not just something we say we believe; it is something we live out.

To walk by faith means we trust God even when we cannot see the full picture. We follow His Word even when the path is uncertain. We believe His promises even when our circumstances seem difficult. We keep moving forward because our confidence is in God, not in what we can figure out on our own.

When the verse says, “not by sight,” it reminds us that we cannot base everything on what we see, feel, or understand in the moment. What we see can be limited. Circumstances can look discouraging. Feelings can change. Problems can seem bigger than the promises of God. But faith looks beyond the visible situation and rests in the faithfulness of the Lord.

This scripture does not mean we ignore reality. It means we do not let reality have the final word over God’s truth. A believer may not always know how God is working, but faith says, “I trust Him anyway.”

2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us that the Christian life is a journey of trust. We may not see every step ahead, but we walk with confidence because God sees the whole way.

Today’s Application

  • Identify the next right step instead of demanding the whole map.
  • Choose obedience where waiting has become uncomfortable.
  • Remember past faithfulness when the future feels hidden.

Prayer

Lord, teach me to walk by faith today. Keep me from being ruled by what I can see, and help me trust Your character when the path is not fully clear. In Jesus name, amen.
