Daily Inspiration: Walking In The Love Of Christ

Ephesians 5:2 KJV

Daily KJV Scripture

Scripture

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

Ephesians 5:2 KJV

Devotion

Paul calls believers to walk in love according to the pattern of Christ. Jesus loved us not only with words but by giving Himself for us. His love was sacrificial, holy, and directed toward our true good.

Walking in love does not mean every choice feels soft or easy. It may mean choosing patience over irritation, generosity over self-protection, forgiveness over resentment, or truth over avoidance. Love is not simply a feeling that comes and goes. It is a way of living shaped by the example of Jesus.

Because Christ has loved us first, we are free to love others without trying to earn something from them. We can give attention, grace, and service because our deepest need has already been met in Him. The more we remember His sacrifice, the more our everyday steps can become an offering of love to God and a blessing to people around us.

Daily Application

Ask yourself what love would require in one relationship today. Choose one action that seeks the other persons good with humility, truth, and appropriate generosity.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me sacrificially. Teach me to walk in that same kind of love, giving grace, truth, patience, and service to the people You have placed in my life. In Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection Question

What does walking in the love of Christ look like in one relationship today?
