Today’s Encouragement

Biblical hope is not wishful thinking. It is confidence rooted in the promises and character of God. Hope looks honestly at difficulty but refuses to believe that difficulty has the final word.

A hopeful heart can keep praying, keep working, and keep loving because it knows God is still writing the story. Even when progress feels slow, hope reminds us that the Lord can use faithful steps, patient endurance, and quiet obedience in ways we may not see immediately.

Ephesians 3:20 is a powerful reminder that God’s ability is far greater than our requests, our imagination, or our understanding.

When Paul says, “Now unto him that is able,” he is pointing our attention to God’s power. This verse begins with confidence in who God is. He is not limited, weak, uncertain, or unable. He is fully able to accomplish His will.

The phrase “to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think” shows that God can do more than we know how to pray for. Sometimes our prayers are limited by what we can see, what we understand, or what we think is possible. But God is not restricted by our imagination. He can work in ways that are greater, deeper, wiser, and more complete than anything we could plan on our own.

Then Paul says, “according to the power that worketh in us.” This reminds us that God’s power is not only something far away in heaven. Through the Holy Spirit, God is working in the believer’s life. He strengthens, changes, guides, equips, and accomplishes His purpose within us.

This scripture does not mean God will always give us everything we want exactly as we ask. It means He is able to do what is best, what is greater, and what brings glory to Him. His answer may be different than expected, but His wisdom and power are always beyond ours.

Ephesians 3:20 encourages us to pray with faith, trust God with confidence, and believe that His power is greater than our limitations. God is able to do more than we can ask, more than we can imagine, and more than we can accomplish in our own strength.
