Daily Inspiration: No More Tears

Revelation 21:4 KJV

Daily KJV Scripture

Today’s Scripture

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Revelation 21:4 KJV

Today’s Encouragement

Revelation 21:4 gives believers a picture of the future God has promised: He will wipe away all tears, and there will be no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain. This promise does not make present suffering small. It tells us that suffering will not have the final word.

We live in a world where grief and pain are real, but Christ has secured a future in which all things will be made new. Hope in that future gives us strength to endure present hardship with honesty and faith. We can mourn what is broken while still looking forward to the day when God Himself will make every wrong thing right.

There are pains in this life that words cannot fully explain. Some tears come from grief, some from disappointment, some from fear, and some from burdens carried quietly where no one else can see. But Revelation 21:4 gives the believer a beautiful promise: the day is coming when God Himself will wipe away every tear.

This verse points us to the hope of eternity with the Lord. It reminds us that sorrow does not get the final word. Death does not get the final word. Pain does not get the final word. God does.

When the Bible says, “there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,” it shows us a future where everything broken by sin will be gone forever. The grief we have known, the pain we have endured, and the burdens that have weighed heavy on our hearts will not follow us into the presence of God.

The phrase “for the former things are passed away” is a promise of complete restoration. What hurts now will one day be behind us. What is heavy now will one day be lifted. What brings tears now will one day be replaced with eternal joy in the presence of the Lord.

Until that day, we can hold on to hope. God sees every tear, knows every sorrow, and is faithful to comfort His people. The same God who will wipe away all tears then is near enough to comfort us now.

Daily Application

Today, bring your sorrow honestly before the Lord. Do not pretend you are stronger than you are. Let God meet you in the place of your tears. Remember that your pain is temporary, but His promise is eternal. Walk through today with hope, knowing that a tearless morning is coming for every child of God.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the promise that one day You will wipe away every tear. When my heart is heavy, help me remember that sorrow, pain, and death will not last forever. Comfort me with Your presence today and strengthen my hope in the eternal joy You have prepared for Your people. Help me trust You through the tears until the day You make all things new. Comfort those who are hurting, strengthen my faith, and keep my eyes on Your promised restoration. In Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection Question

What sorrow, burden, or tear do I need to place in God’s hands today while holding on to the promise that He will one day make all things new?
