Daily Inspiration: Praise For Today

Colossians 3:16 KJV

Daily KJV Scripture

Today’s Scripture

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Colossians 3:16 KJV

Today’s Encouragement

Worship is the heart turning toward God with reverence, gratitude, and surrender. It is not limited to a song or a church service. Worship includes the way we honor Him in thought, word, work, rest, and obedience.

When worship becomes part of daily life, ordinary moments gain spiritual weight. We remember that God is worthy in public and private, in success and difficulty, in routine and interruption. Worship reorders the heart around His greatness instead of our circumstances.

Colossians 3:16 teaches that the Word of Christ should not be a small visitor in our lives, but something that dwells in us richly.

When it says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly,” it means God’s Word should live in our hearts, shape our thoughts, guide our decisions, and influence the way we speak and act. The word dwell gives the idea of settling in and making a home. Scripture should not only be something we hear occasionally, but something that becomes part of who we are.

The phrase “in all wisdom” reminds us that God’s Word gives us understanding for life. It teaches us how to walk with the Lord, how to treat others, how to resist sin, how to endure trials, and how to worship rightly.

Then Paul says, “teaching and admonishing one another.” This shows that believers are meant to encourage and strengthen each other with truth. Teaching builds up, and admonishing lovingly warns or corrects. God’s people need one another, and His Word helps us speak with grace, wisdom, and care.

The verse also mentions “psalms and hymns and spiritual songs.” Worship is one way God’s truth gets planted deep in the heart. Singing praise is not just music; it is a way of remembering truth, declaring faith, encouraging others, and giving honor to the Lord.

Finally, “singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” shows that worship should come from the heart. It is not only about the sound of the voice, but the condition of the soul. A heart touched by grace has a reason to sing.

Daily Application

Today, let God’s Word have a real place in your heart. Read or meditate on one verse, listen to a hymn or spiritual song that points you to Christ, and look for one opportunity to encourage someone else with truth and grace.

Prayer

Lord, let the Word of Christ dwell richly in me. Fill my heart with Your truth, wisdom, and grace. Help me to worship You sincerely, to encourage others faithfully, and to let my words and actions be shaped by Your Word. Put a song of praise in my heart today, and let it honor You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection Question

Is God’s Word truly dwelling in my heart, or have I only been visiting it occasionally?
